Sand between our toes? ...not so much

It's been a minute since I last blogged, even though I post pictures to my facebook page all the time! I guess my (two?) loyal readers might appreciate some actual words every once in a while. HA!

We took a trip to Tybee Island last week! It was nice because it was girls-only and my mom and grandmother watched my girls so I could read, walk and nap in peace! Taking time for yourself is so nice when you have little ones underfoot all day everyday! We have discovered that Becca is NOT a sand-lover, nor an ocean lover. We went onto the beach somewhat peacefully ONCE the whole trip, on the last day! As soon as we started digging (and photographing, albiet on my smart phone), the flies started to bite. Needless to say, we spent more time in the pool and on the balcony than we did on the actual beach!

How does a beach trip fit into my Weight Watchers journey? Pizza, ice cream, and hot dogs... Yes, you read that right. We had pizza, ice cream, hot dogs AND delicious, fresh GA shrimp on our trip! I did my best to count those BLTs- bite, licks and tastes, and I did my best to stay active! I swam and walked on the beach at least once a day, sometimes two walks AND a swim. I have yet to weigh in since our trip (it's been 2 weeks since my last meeting/weigh-in), so I am nervous, but feeling relatively positive about it.

It was back to normal life on Mon when Miss P returned to our house. Enjoying daily playtime and crafts, though the 3-2-1 year olds are not always "friendly"...

"Plus one"

This week, we have become the Williams girls "plus one"... Penelope (aka Poppy) has joined our little household 4 days a week while her mommy and daddy work. I am enjoying our third little one and the structure it has brought to my week (BUT I am glad I didn't have three of my own this close together!) Not that I didn't play with my kids, have naptime, learn new things, explore the yard, etc, etc... but when I have another child in my home, I feel like I am more accountable for these things. It is a little daunting to teach someone else's child without wondering if you are doing it in a way that they will be pleased and proud of their child's progress. I suppose every day will be challenging and rewarding in its own way. Anybody out there with tips and tricks, feel free to share!
